Silverstone Vista MCE Box

Standard

Finally, i was able to get case to replace my stingy old Vista MCE box. The system was recently upgraded, but having a mid-atx tower behind ones TV looks well not really pleasing to the eyes :-) .

Specs:

AMD ATHLON 64 X2 6000+ @ 3000Ghz
4GB CORSAIR DDR2 667mhz
200GB WD SATAII HDD
COMPRO T300 DTV-B Tuner
ATi HD4350 512MB PCI-E , HDMI v1.3
Atheros 802.11g
Silverstone LC16MR Black , Built-in IR, LCD, 23-in-one Card reader
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit
iMonHD

Build Was about 2 hours or so, good to see the case design has improved since i built one of these cases, the LCD connector instructions have been altered, due to confusion people were attaching the power connectors incorrectly and causing the LCD to short out.

EPG is now working, thanks to “Bryce” on the xpmediacentre forums. After then adding on top the ffdshow configuration to have mkv and subtitle playback in MCE. Task complete, unit uses HDMI for audio sucessfully and i can also normalise using ffdshow to make HD channels and DTV channels the same volume :-D
